Collaboration with The Royal Mint involved creating a series of illustrations for their 2022 wedding gift range. The project centred on developing a repeat pattern inspired by floral designs featured on coins. This pattern was incorporated into collectable wedding gifts, which include a selection of newly minted coins dated 2022.

The design process began with hand-drawn sketches, which were then digitised and vectorised using Adobe Fresco on an iPad. This approach allowed for the creation of intricate, scalable designs that could be applied across various gift items.

The Royal Mint interviewed our illustrator to discuss the creative process and inspiration behind these illustrations, providing insight into the design journey and its connection to numismatic traditions.

This project showcased the intersection of traditional coin design elements with contemporary illustration techniques, resulting in a unique offering for The Royal Mint's wedding gift collection.
